Very nice
The Landgasthof Gut Wolfsaap (located directly at a riding facility) is always worth a visit. Often for us combined with a walk in the forest or simply with a meal. Over time, we have tried almost the entire menu - which has left us spoiled for choice, because every dish can be recommended without reservation. From the “Vanessa” salad to goulash soup, sauerbraten, steak or schnitzel - everything is great. Also not to be despised are the delicious (huge and thick) pancakes - whether savory or sweet. And regardless of whether it's seasonal dishes or the annual, much-loved goose meal; There is always a reason to drive towards Aaper Wald and dine in the Gut Wolfsaap restaurant. Innkeeper Ede and his friendly, small, family team in service and in the kitchen round off each of our visits. We can only warmly recommend EVERYONE who likes home-style cooking to come here. But please reserve in advance! To you very soon!!
Small but very nice, delicious food at fair prices, we'd love to come back
Very tasty ... large portions ... sauerbraten ... rump steak ... coachman pan ... cool staff ... see you again!
Very nice, huge pancakes
Delicious pancakes
Always great
Very beautiful there! Friendly innkeepers, nice staff, fantastic location .. I ate the caravan pan and was completely satisfied. Meat was great .. Fried potatoes with fresh herbs and beans with bacon were wonderfully fresh .. Mushrooms with their own great Holandaise were wonderful .. Peppered sweet top? and then the warm chocolate tart! ?
Eating as always, the service was sometimes a little inattentive
Ede and Sophia run the Waldgasthof with a lot of commitment and friendliness. The long opening hours from around noon to 10 p.m. are remarkable, except for the rest days on Monday and Tuesday. The menu is not too overloaded and is complemented by seasonal dishes. I like it that not everything is offered, but that what is there is done well. For example, the carter's pan is highly recommended, as is the mustard roast. The dishes are also available as a small portion, just order accordingly. The price of the Waldgasthof is not in the Düsseldorf league, which is very pleasant (Aperol € 4.50, Wiener schnitzel for € 16, side salad for € 4). Overall, highly recommended and praise to the operator couple!
After a great, extensive walk with the fur noses over the large meadows and the forest, you can (not only) stop in the Wolfsaap when the weather is nice and have a good time in the beer garden! Of course, it is also worth a stop in bad weather, because it is also cozy inside. The dishes on offer are varied and both meat lovers and vegetarians will find something delicious here at moderate prices! You should only reserve as a precaution! Always worth a trip and we are looking forward to the end of the Corona crisis !!
Enjoyed the in-house service today, 20 min. Until home! Eating hot and delicious as just served! Ede and Sofia can do that too! Keep it up ... this is how we get through this time! Thank you!
A cozy little business with a small but great menu and nice service. Price and performance go hand in hand with great food.
is unfortunately becoming more popular and therefore you have to plan your visit well. Sensational the best pancakes far and wide. Because of difficult access best on foot or bike.
Good food unfortunately unfortunately very loud. Why does the telephone ring for table reservations at full volume? Especially since the fully-staffed staff can only go after 9-13 times? Unfortunately for a relaxed meal too restless.
First class kitchen 1A! From the appetizer to the espresso it was excellent. I have not eaten so well for a long time! Nice ambience and friendly service! For that I like to drive a few kilometers further. We recommend!
Was here last weekend after watching handball at the ISS Dome. The place itself is nicely located relatively deep in the forest, you have to know it’s here, you won’t spot it otherwise (or google). We gave our order around 18:25 but unfortunately we had to wait over 1:30 hours for our meal. One of us ordered a starters but this came after 40 minutes. During our waiting time, another table also asked about the long waiting time, reason was apparently that they did not expect this amount of guests today. We got the same answer as well after asking too, at that time it had been 1:15 hours. We in the end decided to give it 15 mins more and if no food would arrive, we would walk out and pay for the beverages and starter that had been ordered. Generally, delayed food orders do not annoy me that much but the issue from my point of view was that the Servers did not show much interest in fixing the situation. At the time we came, we were hungry, that of course means that we expect some sort of food in a timely manner after ordering. The restaurant could have offered us some bread and butter to keep the hunger at bay but never did it look like they considered this. When the food finally arrived, it was very good, nothing to put on that. Unfortunatly it was delivered to the table without a word of appology and during our wait time, we were not asked, if we would like to order another drink, since the first round was well finished by the time the food finally arrived. We wish the service would have been up to par with the food. We will probably come back, but would expect better service.
This is One of my favorite restaurants in Düsseldorf. Wonderful atmosphere, great food and beer.
A very warm team to which we always like to go. No "bells and whistles" and for me the most delicious schnitzel, which you can choose to eat with fried potatoes, fries or boiled potatoes. There are different asparagus dishes for the season and if you don't like meat, there are also fresh salads. Reservations are required. Honest and really well prepared food.
Cozy, small restaurant. Perfect for a short breather after a long walk in the Aaper forest around the gliding fields. Great food. Especially on festive occasions. Family atmosphere!
Big portions and well prepared. When busy can take some time until served therefore -1
One of my favorite places in Düsseldorf. The food is amazing, traditional and in good portions. They had a Pfifferlinge (mushroom) menu, apart from the main menu which was super delicious. The owner is super friendly, and the location is quiet, in the forest. Perfect for getaways from the city noise
Great savoury pancakes and premium draft alt beer.
Very nice little terrace in the middle of the forest at a very big horse farm. Good kitchen, good service, albeit a bit slow but it is in a very relaxing area so I can't imagine them stressing about.. ☺️ Will come back soon!
Good food on the horse farm in a beautiful landscape.
Great place, beautifully located ... Easily accessible by all means of transport, on foot, by car, by bike or on horseback. Obviously, at the big stud. Very well-kept area, with rustic, good traditional cuisine and a well-arranged, well-chosen menu. Prices in the lower Düsseldorf level, good value for money. Fast, very friendly and attentive service, very personable. All dishes that were served made a great impression, but for the taste I can only judge by the pancakes. One with goat cheese and vegetables, one with cherries. Simple, very, very tasty. Richly occupied, looked great and was neither too much nor too little. Next time I'll try more dishes. I cannot say anything about the other points, they will be better explored next time. So, I will definitely come back, also a perfect place for small and large riding enthusiasts.
